This 1931 Packard exemplifies the types of cars built in the 1930's before the Art Deco movement. Entering the 1930s, Packard attempted to beat the stock market crash and subsequent Great Depression by manufacturing ever more opulent and expensive cars than it had prior to October 1929, and began offering different platforms that focused on different price points allowing the company to offer more products and remain competitive.
In 1931 this was the car for the professional gentleman that felt a little sporty without being too pretentious!
